  • Coaches Report (Ellen J.):
    • COVID Update:
      • Doing what we need to keep things running smoothly.
      • Delayed start for Challenger I, II and S3 Yoga & Dryland for Discovery Group (12U group is being hit hard)
      • Trying to remind swimmers to minimize contacts
    • CT Y States (Seniors)
      • Numbers still coming in, once numbers are in will see if they can change warmups
      • No spectators.
      • Discussion re food trucks and other concessions.  Calls can be made to food trucks to see if they will come out.  Impact of no spectators on food truck commitments.  Can also talk with Y vendor (BLT Deli).
      • Dan and Dave are meet managers.
    • CT Swimming Championships:
      • Sr. Champs:  UConn has pulled out of hosting.  Proposed meet Feb 17-20. Split between Wilton and Westport.  Needs to be approved by CT Board on Monday. Income to Y not Parent’s Club.  Just offering facility and some support staff.
      • Age Groups:
        • 10U:  March 11-13. Westport has been asked to run.  Will be a Parents Club hosted meet (income to Parent’s Club). Would run in afternoon to minimize impact on Y programming.
          • Berkley M. motioned to accept the foregoing proposal as presented.  Motion seconded, all in favor.
        • 11-14:  March 17-20.  Proposed prelims at Hamden Hall and finals at Cheshire (not confirmed).
    • Pink Plunge Check – still to be delivered.
    • Red/ Blue was successful.  Alumni panel followed, wonderful presentation but with less attendance than hoped for; very positive feedback from the people that attended.
    • Y Nationals Expenses:  In the past income from Senior Spring Invitational and Groundhog Masters Meet were earmarked for Y Nats.  Treasurers can checking to see if if there are funds still earmarked.  In all likelihood, no pancake breakfast this year.
  • Co-President Report (Charles S.):
    • Banquet:  Jessica S. and Mary L. have been looking at different options; issue is that venues that can fit us are very expensive.  Also considering locations with indoor/ outdoor options.  Still brainstorming.
    • Super Bowl Pool:  Looking for someone to run.
  • USA Swimming Escrow Account Manager Report (Adrienne W.):
    • All meets billed to date.
    • 170 Families/ 220 Swimmers. Approx. $7,600 in escrow account.  Billing for meets as we go.  All meets have been billed.
    • Approx $18 owed by one family.
  • Treasurers Report  (Kim M.):
    • November Meet was very profitable, exceeded budget. 8U meet slightly under budget.    Overall things are looking good.
  • PET-WRAT (Candace T.):
    • Points:  Nothing new to report.
    • Nominating Committee:  Working on slate.  Will have ready for February Board Meeting.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm.

Respectfully submitted
