Grinalds and Olasewere Break Team Records
December has been a busy time for the Water Rats. Ten days ago a group of seniors went down to Nashville for the Music City Invitational, the age groupers attended a meet at Chelsea Piers, and the 8/unders swam at Hamden Hall. There was some very fast swimming with four team records broken. Sarah Grinalds broke the 15/18 Girls team records in the 50 free with a time of 23.29, the 100 free with a time of 50.79, and the 200 free with a time of 1:49.82 and Annam Olasewere broke the 8/u girls 25 fly record with a time of 15.51.
This past weekend several swimmers travelled to MIT and others attended the 15th Annual Hutchinson Classic. Again,Water Rat swimmmers swam fast!
We end our December meet frenzy with our very own Blue v. Red Intrasquad meet. The meet begins at 10:00 a.m. and is open to all swimmers and their families. So come join the fun and maybe even participate in the parent/child relays! Hot chocolate and other goodies will be provided by the Parents Club on the observation deck following the meet.
Congratulations to all Water Rat Swimmers for some great mid-season swimming!
GO WRATs!
