Winter Coat Drive for Bridgeport

In keeping with the community-service commitment of the Family Y’s Water Rat Swim Team, we ask for your support in supplying local families and individuals in need with winter coats. We will be collecting gently used winter coats for children and adults now through November 19 on behalf of the Bridgeport Rescue Mission, which helps the homeless in Fairfield County.

We challenge you to dig deep into your closets for any unused winter coats, ski jackets or parkas — and for you to ask the same of your friends, schoolmates and neighbors.

Please bring your gently used coats to the Swim Coaches’ office. Our Water Rats have a great tradition of coming together in service to our community. Your gently used or outgrown winter coats will be put to very good use.
